Life after Death

Have you ever wondered if there is life after we die?  Do you believe in an eternal heaven or hell? The Bible clearly tells us that there is a place called heaven.  Only those who have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ will enter there.  Here is how you can know that you have a place reserved in Heaven and that you will go there when you die.

Realize that you are a sinner and that you cannot get into Heaven on your own merits or good deeds.  Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Understand that your sin must be paid for and the penalty for sin is death in Hell for all eternity. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death.” and Revelation 20:15, says “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son, took your place when he died on the Cross and shed His blood as full payment for your sins.  Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Receive, by faith, Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Savior.  Read Romans 10:8-13 and John 3:16. Romans 10: 9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

PRAY: “Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me of my sins.  I believe that you died on the cross, were buried and rose again to pay the penalty for my sin. I ask you to come into my heart, save me, and take me to Heaven when I die.  Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen”
